Finished it and enjoyed it for what it is. I'd like to see more but given it's not typical Marvel fare and their cutback on stuff, I can't imagine anything more than just showing up at some point in the future in some other series or movie, maybe a name drop at some point.

My only real disappointment is its like Shang Chi didn't happen at all. Morris showing up at some point woulda been fun, but outside of some throwaway line about being in another reality or something, Trevor's time in Ta Low wasn't addressed at all. Even some acknowledgement of his time with the Ten Rings and something like "I hope Shang and his sister don't mind this..." woulda been at least somethin. Not really a spoiler I guess, but I was also kinda surprised Kingo wasn't at least referenced. I know Eternals is largely just "didn't happen" territory, but What If had him pop up so I thought maybe he'd get name dropped at the least.

It has some minor super stuff but its not about that. Its really a character driven drama/comedy that's really well done and an origin story at the same time.

Marvel Television’s Wonder Man, perhaps the least comic book movie-coded of the superhero factory’s shows, has been renewed for a second season. And the key creative and talent team in front and behind the camera are also set to return.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley will return as Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, the respective super-powered actor and ex-terrorist-thespian around which the show revolved.

“Wonder Man” has been canceled at Disney+, Variety has learned exclusively.

The news comes despite the fact that Disney announced a Season 2 renewal for the show back in March, roughly two months after it debuted. According to sources, a writers’ room for Season 2 was never opened and the show’s writers have been released to pursue other projects.

That really blows, was really excited to see it was being continued. Wonder what fell apart for them to confirm a sequel then just not bother getting anyone to start on it.

I specifically didn't watch it cause I knew it'd be cancelled and forgotten. Disney has no one to blame but themselves. There's too much media in the world to consume to watch dead end shows that get immediately cancelled after 1 or 2 incomplete seasons.

It was a good show and definitely seemed to be written as only being a single season. It had a bit of a cliffhanger at the end but all the major plot points got resolved in the single season
