ABC News reports that Republican Eli Crane is projected to win Arizona’s 2nd District, unseating Democratic Rep. Tom O’Halleran.
ABC News confirms that GA is indeed going to a run off election.
And then there were two.
Come on AZ and NV. That would lock up the senate at at least 50 before GA right?
good timesRepublicans are now eight seats away from reaching the majority in the House. There are nine seats that FiveThirtyEight forecasted as “lean or likely” Republican that remain uncalled.
Democrats are currently ahead in at least two of those races (with the huge caveat that there are still a number of votes left to count, particularly on the West Coast). And of course there’s still a number of toss-up and Democrat-leaning races left to call.
Dems need to win 2 of Arizona, NV, and GA.
Kelly is overperforming the governor's race and leading, but late breaking votes will skew republican are going to make it close.
Nevada is a true unknown. The democrat is down, but most of the votes left are mail in ballots from Clark county, which should skew Democrat. This race should be close. Clark county is supposed to make an announcement as to how many votes need counted soon. And any mail in ballots that arrive in the next two days, that are postmarked by yesterday, will also be counted.
Georgia will be wild. Kemp definitely drug Walker to run off territory, but not enough to get more votes than Warnock. The dynamics of the runoff may depend on how Arizona and Nevada break and determine voter motivations.
The prevailing thought is anything more than 100,000 votes left to count in Clark county will be very good news for Democrats. 75-100k left will be dicey.
Apparently in-person turnout was low, so there's expected to be more mail ballots than expected. Some good news for Dems, but certainly not a sure thing.
Betting markets have Democrats as a nearly 90% favorites to hold the Senate.

He won't tho.
Yeah, his ego won't allow it. My high dream is that DeSantis gets the republican nod and Trump in a state of fury, runs as an independent, fracturing the republican turnout and allowing an easy democratic presidential win.
I mean
It's really hard to argue right now that Biden's Presidency hasn't been massively outperforming expectations.

The Trump vs DeSantis GOP civil war is going to be awesome.
Desantis doesn't have the balls and Trump doesn't have a bottom, so it'll be a game of chicken and either Trump will win or they'll both lose. I bet Trump just wins.
