I def think it would curb some of the bullshit. They ain't impeaching Biden over some ridiculous Hunter Biden shit. They won't touch abortion legislation, although I don't think they would have even with a more comfortable majority. And, by most accounts, McCarthy is literally an idiot. Not policy wise, but, like, stacks blocks as an adult stupid.

That's literally the swing. I'd say you'd rather be Schumer than McConnell right now given that these races were always tossups and Dems have almost unilaterally won the federal tossup races.

Dems need to win 2 of Arizona, NV, and GA.

Kelly is overperforming the governor's race and leading, but late breaking votes will skew republican are going to make it close.

Nevada is a true unknown. The democrat is down, but most of the votes left are mail in ballots from Clark county, which should skew Democrat. This race should be close. Clark county is supposed to make an announcement as to how many votes need counted soon. And any mail in ballots that arrive in the next two days, that are postmarked by yesterday, will also be counted.

Georgia will be wild. Kemp definitely drug Walker to run off territory, but not enough to get more votes than Warnock. The dynamics of the runoff may depend on how Arizona and Nevada break and determine voter motivations.

Then they said they have over 300 drop boxes to count from all the polling stations in the county. They have no idea how many that is, or they haven't said. Just that it's "considerable".

Even if there's only a few hundred per box, that's 90k votes on top of the 25k. Mastro should feel pretty good about that, but it'll be close.

Edit. Clark also has 11k provisionals and cures that's not part of the 25k total. So they know of at least 36k ballots that need counted. Mastro will need probably 70k drop box ballots to be able to take a breath. Washoe county (Reno) also has around 57k ballots to count, but those will not break near as hard to Mastro as Clark county. Laxalt actually leads Washoe right now, but that's a lot of in-person votes that skew republican.
