standing against gay rights just ain't a winning issue in most of the country anymore. gay marriage support is over 70% nationally, majority of 65+ support it, majority of every ethnic group, majority of Protestants and Catholics, majority of Republican voters.

No one in the House cares for some reason which is strange because it passed unanimously in the Senate. Can't really say it's GOP partisanship when all 50 of them were for it in the Senate.

I think that the pandemic is over in a social sense. People are going out more, not wearing masks, and a lot of stores that I've seen lately have gotten rid of the hand sanitizer dispensers. This doesn't mean that the actual pandemic is over, just that people have accepted that it's not going away anytime soon but are trying to get back to their lives pre-covid.
