He took the reduced payout on his original bet before they announced Judge AND he hedged his bet by making the same picks with Ohtani swapped out (worse odds but hey)

He still made bank either way

I’m surprised they even gave him a cash out option with how the odds were so heavily skewed for Judge. I’m not sure of the algorithm but I know they straight up don’t give you the chance if it’s gonna be a blatant loss.

Updates are saying a formal contract offer will be made later this week. So probably won't hear anything until the weekend at the soonest due to Turkey day.
