Giving this a go myself. Can't imagine it'll be for very long, but I've never done a private server before so this is a 20 year reunion. Just having fun dripping in nostalgia goop.

Tried hardcore, promptly lost it trying to kill a DC Orc for the Sandoria mission axe after everything resisted. They don't make em like this anymore lol *slaps hood*

Mad props to y’all. In my mind I am all “fuck ya.” Then I remember I have kids and a job, and I usually can only dedicate like 2 hours max on a game straight, and like that’s the time it takes for some idiot in the party to get to the dunes from Windurst, and I realized I just could never play it with my lifestyle.

As someone with extremely limited time I'm very tempted to make an LS for people who only wanna exp for like 30min - 1hr periods. Try to shoot for not shaming people who gotta afk randomly or leave on a dime cause of kids

Go for it! Just take your time, be chill with it, be apart of a brand new server. Don't have to play more than you can, :D can also joust fish too or pick up something to craft while you chill.

And yeah, we can def make a bg-centric one for people who wanna check it out some.

They have increased spawns and decreased spawn times for monsters immediately outside home cities, so you can put a pretty good dent into your first 10 levels right there. They also give you an xp band of your choice for doing the beginner quest. I think I took mnk to 10 in about an hour, though it slows down considerably since your gear starts to show its low level and you're going to be broke with mainly just quests to gain gil to buy gear from npcs lol
