I'm actually going with guilty, but it will take a while to release the verdict. You'll know when it's ready when security starts to ramp up. If no security there, it'll be police in major cities if it's not guilty.
Would also suspect some element of, "They jury is still deliberating..." when they've actually finished and got ushered out to avoid backlash. Could even imagine some degree of witness protection at play given the stakes.
Sadly, I'm too pessimistic to expect a guilty because wriggle wriggle etc.. And really, all it takes is someone with the true affliction of Trump Derangement Syndrome (aka being cult MAGA) to hang the jury.
Hung jury, Friday 4pm ET
I'll parlay a guilty. Friday morning. Won't even get through appeals. Supreme court rules 5-4 for immunity on narrow grounds.
Supreme court ruling on immunity on a state trial?
The jurors don't have transcripts, only whatever notes they took.Note from jurors contains 4 requests, judge says
“The note contains four requests," Judge Juan Merchan says.
According to the judge, the jury wants:
David Pecker’s testimony regarding a phone conversation with Donald Trump while Pecker was in the investor meeting.
Pecker's testimony about the decision not to finalize and fund the assignment of Karen McDougal's life rights.
Pecker's testimony regarding a Trump Tower meeting.
Michael Cohen's testimony regarding the Trump Tower meeting.

I know. I went with the long odds for a big win.
All moot when Trump takes office and pardons himself, no?
What are we going to do, have the state of New York argue to the supreme Court that the president of the United States needs to report to prison?
If he becomes president it doesn't matter what the laws are. They will make it all go away.
Security is going to ramp up, regardless once the jury says they have a verdict. I remember being in the courthouse doing some IT work when the BART PD shooting in 2009 had their jury return a verdict and every non essential non sworn officer personal were being quickly shuttled out the back door and told to conceal our badges in case people start to quickly gather.
Trump cannot pardon state crimes but all the handwringing in the world about a constitutional crisis won't stop him from trying. Then when (if) it fails, the state of NY will have to try to sue the federal government or something to turn him over and the supreme Court (if it even gets that high) will tell them to fuck off and at best the sentence will be suspended until he isn't president anymore, as will all the active federal investigations/lawsuits into him.
A little less than 5 years until the end of his second term, which he may not live out. If he wins (probable) then he probably won't see jail time or maybe even a conclusion in anything other than this hush money case.
I am not even sure the outcome of this jury matters. We are all his peers and he is obviously and transparently guilty to anyone that has followed the case and is obviously not guilty to any of his devotees. People who are too busy or checked out to be in either camp will be the ones who decide the next election, so I guess we are back to attempting to guess what impact a news headline will have on the few idiotes that fail to avoid it.
Fuck I hate this system.
