Why? 18mil seems more than fair. Maybe in the 20s, but nah no way near $50M. Even prime beach front property doesn't often go for that much. Even buying beach front land, then building a brand new house worthy of the location, wouldn't run you $50M in most of Florida.

And mar-a-lago ain't beach front. It's only attraction is it's size for events (which isn't even impressive tbh), and a former POTUS lives there.

What mar-a-lago has going for it is it's in a prime location for traveling to all the best parts of Florida. Multiple highways close by, beach isn't that far from its location, and nightlife isn't far either in town or a short highway trip to Miami/fort Lauderdale.
