Fair enough.
Fair enough.
I'll bite.
Because it didn't exist in the first place.
yeah basically they brought in an expert who kinda mathed out the damage done per person, x reach. so when you add in news interviews, podcasts, etc., that goes pretty far.
hilarious thing was guiliani literally kept on saying stupid shit to make things worse for himself when he was literally already found liable, and they were just trying to calculate the damages. i'm sure whatever he said this last week was more or less just throwing matchsticks into the sun, though lol
Trump is in an even worse position in his NY trial. Already guilty, there isn't even a jury, and he is directly antagonizing the judge that is holding hearings just to determine what the damages should be.
Maybe these people are not geniuses.
I'm split between whether it's literally just him being completely uncontrollable (likely true anyway) and hurting himself out of stupidity or if it's a calculated strategy by his cadre to vilify the judge enough in the eyes of his supporters that some lunatic goes out and kills him.
Fair enough, yeah.
He made sure to add "illegal" on there to veil up just barely enough to not get slammed by his primary opponents. He did not say illegal immigrants in his speeches. He said all immigration.
What Trump says is the Republican base's position. If he says something and his primary "opponents" disagree with and they slam him for it, their poll numbers will drop.
He can go as racist/xenophobic as he wants. I don't think there is a bottom.
He demonstrated the absence of a bottom when he began mocking veterans, and shockingly (At the time), a crowd erupted in applause.
Apparently I need to pull this out again.
Spoiler: show
Good guy Manchin won't run 3rd party, says he recognizes Trump's threat to democracy demands unity behind Biden.
Once again showing the center > the left (Cornell West)

Joe Manchin didn't actually say that he wouldn't run 3rd party in that article, unless I missed it somewhere. He said that he wouldn't run as a spoiler, which means he may still run third party if he managed to defeat his sense of reality and convince himself that it wouldn't make him a spoiler.
However, he's paraphrasing Maya Angelou and fretting about the existential threat that Trump poses to the institution of US Democracy, so he's almost over the line.
I think that third party literally means spoiler because that's literally the ceiling for what they can achieve. When an enormously popular ex-President's third party caps out at being a spoiler, you know that the system just doesn't facilitate three options.
Yeah, but Manchin is notoriously dumb.
Speaking of did Spicy finally get permaed? I noticed this section hasn't been a shit show recently.
