Just build it from Gunn's Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. All will be well with the world.

Oh man the Snyderboys are gonna go crazy at this one. I know a few people REALLY into the DCU and they insist it is infinitely better than Marvel. I have seen all of both and all I say to them is "Are we watching the same movies?"

Probably too much literal raping in her WW3 script to get the green light so they told her to get the stepping.

Henry Cavill has been told he won't be returning as Superman after all, James Gunn has confirmed. Cavill may return as a different character, however.

That feels like a mistake, Cavill is perfect as Superman even if the movies he was part of were subpar.

I read on twitter I believe from a Gunn tweet that their next superman movie will focus on a younger Superman, which is why Cavill will not be in it.

Sucks since he probably had to commit to either Superman or Witcher. So he just got quickly tossed into the unemployment line.

He's too much of a professional to say it but the general vibe is that he left Witcher because he was fed up with the writing/showrunner. He's a noted massive nerd and there were stories from season 2 about him taking exception with how off track from the books the show was going.
The reviews/interviews of the Witcher prequel series coming out soon definitely back up the idea of the people running the franchise for Netflix being complete morons
-
Yeaaaaaah I have a feeling he's not upset about not being part of the Witcher series anymore. And I say that knowing how big of a fan he is
-
On the plus side, it does mean he can join the MCU now?

The report is that Gunn still wants him for a different DC role, but there is a lot he could do in the MCU. Miracleman, Doctor Doom, the Sentry, Cyclops, Captain Britain, Ka-Zar, the Beyonder - he's got the look to do almost anything he wants.

Man losing him as both Geralt and Superman sucks.

Since it's regarding Cavill. Decent alternative if he goes down this path. More or less a click bait article though - https://twitter.com/Wario64/status/1603560656828932096

Honestly I think it's just best for them to do what DC is always in a perpetual state of doing in the comics. Rebooting.
There is too much "drama" surrounding these movies (less so, MOST of the actors, looking at you Dwayne and Ezra) but between all the Snyder bullshit and whatnot just start over and rebuild. Gunn is a genuine fan and avid reader. He's the best person they could have hoped for.
I really hope Black Adam 2 gets cancelled. The Rock is just... annoying now. Dude can't take an L. Your movie that you've been setting up for 14 years was middling bordering on bad. Take the L and move along. Don't keep making 5 minute instagram posts about being #1 in america, then digital sales, then streaming, then leak very uh.. questionable material about why the movie is a profit. I can't see any way this movie was a profit. Between the inflated budget, the marketing behind it, etc, it at best broke even. Please stop.
The ONLY way I could see him in another movie if he was featured in it, but something would tell me his "pride" wouldn't let him accept anything other than a starring role.

If there was a worse possible way to kick off your third universe reboot in 5 years or whatever it is, I can't think of it.
Colossally stupid decision. He was the perfect casting and they managed to utterly waste him in spectacular fashion.
