I was under the impression it was a stat value representing the reserve ammo, separate from the ammo count which is the literal number of bullets. May factor into per brick rate though.

It's part of the Reserves formula, but reserves also influence the amount of ammo you get from a brick. Essentially, they're buffing the amount of ammo you get from bricks for Machine Guns, with the higher impact ones getting a bigger boost because of their naturally lower Inventory stat.

It isn't, which is the funny thing. In Byf's critique of the campaign he literally says "I'm supposed to be the lore daddy, and even I have no idea what the Veil is."

I basically did a blackout and walked into the community on fire after I beat the game. I had a lot of fun playing it on legendary. Story left a lot to be desired, but not enough to get me upset. Then I remembered the community is basically a dumpster fire anyway.
