That final battle and the harpy puzzles were my least favorite parts of the story. Rest of it was fine. I have no issue with Nimbus. He seems like another character that won't be referenced outside of the expansion much like Shaw Han and Finch. I did the first post story mission that introduced Quinn, but most of the patrols are from the character Sid, who is.. ???
I am not a fan of the grapple mechanic. Spent too much time dead trying to get that to work when Warlock float feels much better to get around. I haven't had a chance to try the other grenade options because I only figured out how to purchase them just before I logged.
I still haven't played the seasonal activity, mostly because they didn't tie it to the expansion campaign like they did WQ or BL outside of a mention.

I can't speak for anyone else and maybe I got lucky, but right after I got the first harpy puzzle, I never had trouble again. The final battle on legend was certainly a sweatfest for me.
I was of the opinion the final boss should have been a raid boss, but you know what, this is fine. All a raid would have added is "invincible until damage phase."
I can certainly see why people hate it, but this is the kind of spike I'm looking for. I mean yes it was clunky, but after Osiris training thing, I had no really issue with movement.

I found it way easier on Titan to not use the Strand surge and just do it on Sunbreaker (or whichever subclass you like), I haven't tried it yet on the other two. You can also hide under the stairs where the Rally Flag is and shoot the boss through the stairs. When the second phase starts, if you are on Strand, you can grapple up on top of the light dome before you hit 0 on Joining Allies and shoot down through it. The only things that can hit you up there are the Psions.

Ehhh. Clunky maybe but I felt like my deaths during legend were my own. The stage tries to overwhelm you with adds. I used gjallarhorn and fusion rifle for add clear and a strand autorifle for boss. The rest of it was knowing with to use cover on the walkways and when to get off the walkways. Tormentors were piss easy if you didn't wait until there were two, basically suspend them (with my barricade), dps, kite, suspend. The dogs also jump on the walkways and they are great for getting woven mail. Using just the walkways also means you're never in danger of getting stomped off the stage. I found phase two easier than phase one. In retrospect I would have had an easier time with witherhoard or parasite (but I didn't have them leveled up).

    It was rough on hunter, really felt I couldn't stay that stationary. I eventually switched to Osteo so I didn't need to aim so much while running, plus its AoE helped with clearing out clusters. Didn't even think of Witherhoard >.>;

Used an LMG exclusively to burn down the Tormentors whenever they spawned.

Strand definitely made the final phase easier though - could just spam Osteo in general directions and grapple away from Calus whenever he got close.

I eventually overleveled and absolutely wrecked him with Warlock Strand; fight is a a cakewalk at 1750

    also potential story teases
    Spoiler: show
so the lore tab for the season pass sparrow has morse code in it that says something to the effect of "STILL ALIVE. IN NETWORK. IDIOT CHILDREN."
and today someone posted this on reddit from the Partition activity: https://www.reddit.com/r/raidsecrets...r_mir_be_back/

also the last dialogue before claiming the stasis glaive teases an enemy of the witness on titan so we may return there in season of the deep

    Spoiler: show
    I'm just excited for Nezarec.

Hearing his dialogue if you have the right piece of gear equipped (Nezarec's sin, Delicate Tomb, or Nezarec's Whisper) is such a cool detail.

I'm enjoying it too, but you cannot deny that Bungie dropped the ball horribly with the campaign's story.

And it feels like there were different writers for the main story vs some of the post-game. Best example is Nimbus -- their story around the LMG is written miles better than their character during the campaign, and that's a huge issue.

Yeah but the story was a big part of the prerelease hype. I'm still having fun playing, but the campaign was a big step down from WQ. Given the place in the overall saga it should've been a homerun narratively, an Empire Strikes Back or Infinity War leading into the finale next year.

Yah thats kinda what I'm saying. Lots of praise for the gameplay side of things and Strand being really good (now that we've got more build options), but the story is a substantial let down.
