In Season 22,we will be tripling the caps for Ascendant Shards and Alloys, and doubling the cap for Enhancement Prisms:
10 -> 30
50 -> 100
A big reason we are making this change is to remove the risk of losing these materials at the Postmaster. Now that the caps have been increased, we are removing the ability for these items to go to the Postmaster. If players already have full stacks of any of these materials in their inventory, moving forward, these will behave like Glimmer, and the player won't receive any more of the items until they are below the cap.
Before making this update, we looked at the total number of players that would be affected by this particular change, and it turns out that less than 1% hold more than the new increased caps of these materials at their Postmaster. In other words, 99% of the playerbase will benefit from having higher inventory caps.
That doesn't mean that players currently holding currency at the Postmaster will lose them when the new Season arrives. While new currency drops won’t be going to the Postmaster anymore, let's make one thing crystal clear: the Ascendant Shards, Ascendant Alloys, and Enhancement Prisms currently at their Postmaster will remain until they’re claimed.
Rumor is that (s)Crota's End is the returning raid.
Returning dungeon, more like.
That's gonna go over like spoiled milk if it turns out to be true lol. Wrath of the Machine was by far more popular.
the general consensus is that it's a lot more trouble because of having to add the devil splicers as that enemy type just doesn't exist in d2, plus needing to create a new exotic since Outbreak is already back. that being said some of the rumors/leaks (big grain of salt obviously) is that unlike VoG and KF it will tie into the seasonal narrative in some capacity and possibly be reworked with expanded encounters and possible lucent hive, as opposed to being just a slightly tweaked port. inb4 its leviathan though.
I'm not convinced I buy that argument because it's not like the Gorgons existed before they brought VoG back. I also don't buy that it's going to tie into the seasonal story because not only have they said stuff in the Legends tab has nothing to do with the current season, thematically or otherwise, it also wouldn't make sense to tie the narrative of a raid to to the context of a season that will be gone forever in 6 months.
I'm not going to be surprised if it's Crota's End because nothing bungie does really surprises me anymore, but if they don't want to get completely ripped apart online they'll have to have changed it so much it may as well be a new raid. At which point, it's definitely more work than just reskinning the Devil Splicers or replacing them with the Scorn.
The majority of dungeons (all but Grasp?) have been heavily tied to the seasons they were released in (expansions in the case of Shattered Throne and Pit), so it isn't that unthinkable. Also, I thought they originally said VoG's return was going to have a reason in the seasonal storyline. Obviously that ended up not being true though, so who knows~
Also, bringing back gorgons =/= bringing back splicers.
Bungie also said Lightfall would introduce new gambit, vanguard, and crucible armor and that didn't happen. They like to lie.
I don't think they ever said that about Lightfall specifically, they just kept promising "renewed focus" all of last year with no timetable or details.
they said "every year will have new core armor" so technically if the new armor drops by the fourth season they didn't lie, but the messaging implied to most people was that it would come out at the start of the year and that obviously didn't happen
They never said anything prior to Lightfall -- I believe the last time they committed to a new armor cadence was prior to Beyond Light (ritual, Trials, etc.). So, ya know, they made it two years.
The word "Gambit" also appeared 0 times in the 5000 word State of the Game in January, so people trying to hold Bungie's feet to the fire on that one are just gluttons for punishment. That mode is dead and buried.
yet I swear there are more and more challenges for it each season lmao, gotta keep matchmaking times down somehow
Just completed upgrading my solstice set on my first character, and just to confirm, you only have to do one character this year and it counts for all three?
That is amazing!
...do we usually get more than one State of the Game per year? We just had one in... February?
could be in response to the State of the Community/general disgruntlement
