Missed the stream to finally beat the raid.

Spoiler: show
Trying to do overthrow with randoms can be bad enough, some of the events are just too intellectually challenging apparently. Trying to do the one where you sacrifice thrall by shooting a crystal when they're in the circle but randy keeps shooting the crystal the second it spawns.
Also fuck the chest opening objective where you have to roll tumbleweed.
Also, also, still not a fan of how pathfinder works. I'm sure the idea is to make sure more people populate the different modes but sometimes it's too restrictive. The one I'm on now has two options for the final node, ability kills in crucible, which is not my cup of tea and one game gave me like 10%, or deposit 100 motes in gambit which isn't tracking correctly. Deposited around 70 in two matches, 14/100. I'm not playing like 10 more gambits, there needs to be a way to scrap a pathfinder or reroll a node or something.
Edit: Congrats! I hear it's surprisingly good dps, especially if you lean into threadlings to ramp it up faster.
If you haven't gone to Nessus yet and want to see something cool that will likely go away tomorrow, the mission statement says new areas open up do to seismic activity. The patrol zones have random earthquakes and the pools of radiolaria will overflow. Nothing happens in thr lost sectors or mission spaces, though.
I mean, sure, but unless you're just snagging the final checkpoint, you still have four other encounters where people need to know what to do.
Assuming Still Hunt is the meta and something easier doesn't develop, even taking the mechanics out, the big challenge for the final encounter is going to be getting familiar with the timing of its attacks during damage.
Actually thought about this some more, and the other way is probably easier and does not actually require any communication -- assuming everyone knows what they are doing (which, yes, I know..).
Something fun I learned today that in that 12 person activity, when Cayde enters the battlefield, he has friendly fire on.
got a Coyote/Inmost Light cloak which seems like a decent combo, farming them is gonna be some work though
edit: ok so after finishing the mission once you have a chance to get one to drop from ANY pale heart chest, I got a 2nd one from a HVT chest during Overthrow, also you can just repeat the mission (I assume as much as you want) for a new drop, I went through it again with a different friend. Galanor/Coyote and Dragon SHadow/Coyote (bit of a pattern here lol)
the other guys got Apothosis/Battle Harmony, and Osmiomancy/Starfire
Unclear if the chance from a chest is accountwide, forgot to check on my alt before I got off
Was exploring nessus yesterday before bed just killing shit and ended up dropping down into some pit that had a flag. The flag dropped me into a match made activity in progress with a short timer. Timer ran out and we failed. I'd been there less than 6 mins and the other 2 had been there over 40 mins. Reading that the class item quest also has the same kind of timer. I really fucking wish they would quit this timed quest nonsense.
yeah, the class item quest is like a 2 man raid with a time limit, I found it pretty stressful especially since the first guy I went with didn't know glyph callouts from the one raid and had to resort to describing the pictures. pretty long too so if you fail at the end it's frustrating. glad that the chest thing unlocks, people on reddit are saying if you just farm chests in the destination they get 2-4 an hour, compared to 1 guaranteed drop from a 40ish minute (depending on skill and optimization, I'm sure there will be people doing it much faster, and with practice I could shave some time off I imagine) mission with a fail condition.
They've been communicating a lot better/more frequently since he and Liana left so I hope he doesn't fuck that up. 6 months at Riot before he bailed is pretty funny though.
That ain't me, just pointing out the obvious.
It was also a commentary on how bad it probably is at Riot, not how good or bad he was at his job there. They chew through people there at lightning speed.
got an Apoth/Star Eater bond which seems like it'll be solid for some DPS scenarios, from what I hear it buffs the 'grenade' and 'melee' during song of flame, or i may just use an overcharged nova
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, unless they add Hazardous Propulsion to the list, I'm never taking this fucking chest off. I used thruster for a hot week when it was introduced, and now I'm back to using it with hazardous propulsion.
Just finished Excision on GM with three of us whittling it down with primary weapons >.>;
