game officially suspended tonight
Game officially suspended.
But probably not, probably EMTs on standby and not ALS.
to be fair, that's just the standard operating procedure
mcdermitt taking charge and doing what's best for his players is honestly the only person who could have had the most up-to-date knowledge of his own team to change that protocol
the nfl didn't do anything wrong here. they literally just followed the coaches lead, who should be leading at that moment
Also the fact the NFL tried to say, take 5 then back to work is disgusting.
Yeah they even pay an ALS unit to stand by at the state police academy during PT. I've done mass casualty stuff at giants/jets games before but we're just there with an MCRU for logistics and supplies and watch the game we don't really interact with the crews working or know what's on premisis.
No press conferences from either team tonight.
Well if you want to donate to Hamlin's toy drive that was at $4000 pregame and is already up over $600k here's a link to a link:

One of the eeriest things I’ve witnessed.
You could quickly see the panic from medical staff to signal for stretcher/ambulance.
Then the long delay with no information other than Twitter rumors of CPR, etc. Seeing Bills players throw their arms up while he was still being worked on made my stomach drop.
At one point a single emergency tone siren played in the stadium while he was still on the ground.
Very somber atmosphere leaving stadium

I guess this is his agent
I'm guessing they saw he was unresponsive and pulseless. As training staff, I can't imagine the panic that sets in. 24 years old, tens of millions of eyes on you, there's no amount of age and experience that would prepare you for that.
I know, shit timing, etc, but I have Bengals wildcard round tickets I want to sale Heady. Section 139 (40 yd line). I have 2 tix on row 4 and 2 tix on row 8.
It was already shaping up to be such a great game. I don't know how they even manage to play each other before the playoffs without knowing he's okay.
This doesn't mean a whole lot. A normal BP and HR after a code is good news, but a normal BP and HR while maxed on Levo, epi, dopamine, etc ain't great. Without a very detailed report (which you aren't gonna get tonight), there isn't a whole lot I would expect to understand tonight. Even at the bedside, it's probably too early to know anything. Best to put the phone down for the night and wait til tomorrow at the absolute earliest.
Even then, if he's initiating spontaneous breaths and vitals are normal with minimal to no med control, it's going to be hard to see what his mental state will be after being anoxic for that long until he's off the sedation. It'll be days at the earliest before you even begin to make out the big picture.
i would assume they'll play wednesday/thursday, unless the players themselves want to make a united stand to stop football for longer than that
regardless of it being good or bad news, we will have news of his condition tomorrow
guys can process events well enough that they aren't going to endanger themselves or others by then
