I wonder how many people just don't have experience with super old people. Like, is that how anyone wants their president to talk? Probably not. But I don't think "confusedly ramble" is accurate at all. "No body said anything except me. They said I didn't do anything to stop the invasion of Ukraine, and they think I encouraged Russian to invade. They're reading from a list of lies. He said I made up quotes about suckers and losers. I was with all the Americans at the cemetery for WW1. This guy is going to have to start answering for what he did." There's a ton of stuttering and double speech/back pedaling, sure, but is it really that hard for some to follow along?

Too lazy to scroll up, but whoever said this election has come down to arguments about being old vs crazy hit it on the nose. Trump's crazy has been aired out in the open for years, feels like the pendulum is swinging back and everyone is just going all in on every Biden gaffe.

I agree. Dems are too quick to eat their own, while republicans are real quiet on the rapist felon. Supposedly Biden announced today he's staying around. Sucks, but if that's true then Dems need to coalesce with force behind him. No more of this "he needs to step aside" bullshit if it's set in stone he's staying. We don't need the noise or right wing talking points. Too much is at stake. Biden is old, and really shouldn't be running. That's a fact. But another fact is we lose everything if Trump gets a second swing at the presidency. I don't want more of Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, etc having power. Period.

I'm going to be much more active in talking up Biden's good points this time around; it's going to take regular folks doing some work to convince people of the stakes. It's going to take a lot more work to get him across the finish line. It shouldn't even be fucking close, but Americans are stupid, so here we are, in a nailbiter to keep our actual freedoms.

A supermajority of voters in polling have been saying for YEARS that Biden is too old. Now that Biden is reminding them of this daily, they don't like it. He needs to either stop confusingly rambling and slurring in every public appearance or step aside.

This past year has made me glad I was never lucky enough to have children until this point. I look at my 3 year old niece with a knot in my stomach thinking of the world she might grow up in. If that heritage fuckhole thinks his "revolution" will be bloodless he is sorely mistaken.

I don’t know if this perspective will give comfort or not, but I have always always believed the following: People don’t change, technology changes. This is why history is doomed to repeat itself because for at least quite a few thousand years are minds are wired the same way.

So how is that comforting? The kids will continue to grow up in innocence. The young adults will continue to fight for a better world. The middle aged will become disenfranchised and bitter. And the old will forever feel their generation was the best.


And in the grand scheme of things we HAVE progressed. A poor person today looks very different than a poor person 100 years ago. That doesn’t mean these times aren’t bad, but I fully believe it will get better.

I mean this has always been the case for libs in general. "cancel culture" is only used to cancel libs on the internet since it doesn't ever stick to anyone else really. Look at Lindsey Ellis with the whole w/e the fuck Disney movie that was that was just south Asia Avatar the Last Airbender, or Al Franken and numerous others. The right gives 0 shit about anything their side does, even if it's a pastor straight up diddling kids as long as said pastor might also be "stickin it to the libs!" in some way they approve of. The "Left" as a whole is just way way too broad and so has factions fighting within it all the time where the right is mostly a solid block, though has fractured a bit in recent years with MAGA/QANON and the "normal" right who just wants to bleed money out of everyone and let your family die due to lack of medicine.

Biden was too old in 2020 and people shouted that from the rooftops, enough where even he made mention that he might just be a bridge president....yet never said it officially so he could do this shit if he wanted to. Guy would have a much better legacy to just hand the reigns over but his wife and others are just feeding his fucking ego.

I fucking want these seniors off EVERYTHING if now is the time that Americans want to admit that the elderly aren't all with it anymore and probably shouldn't be doing the same things or working the same jobs as other mentally healthy Americans.

I mean it sells and they report on crazy shit Trump says and does too (at least ones not owned by the right which aren't too man) but it doesn't sell as much that's just old news at this point. I believe it's getting blown up a ton right now due to election proximity but also people are eating it up because for the past 4+yrs people have been saying the fucking dude is too old....like if he can even win this year he's going to be 85 if he survives all 4 years, which even given the healthcare he cant get is a low %
