Given that he took his family to a Trump rally, he obviously wasn't going to be the kind of person I want to have a beer with. However, people with abhorrent personal views that aren't doing violent crimes would not get the death penalty in any US court. He didn't deserve to die even if he was a racist troll.

Looks like someone is upset a person posted a victim's posting history. FYI, even victims can be not great people and it's okay to point that out. Sucks and is tragic he died protecting his children from someone with his same political affiliation at their own political rally, just like it sucks that he's an antivax unpasteurized milk truther.

Ehhh, they had no problem dragging Floyd's history into the light and using that as justification for how he was treated. This isn't that. This is just posting the victims social media history and opining that he might not be as sympathetic if the shoe was on the other foot, while at the same time commentating that he shouldn't have died, didn't deserve it, etc.

That all said, I wonder if he knows anyone that might still be alive if the politicians he supported didn't deny science, were less bigoted, not trying to avoid jail time by becoming president, etc.

The bike piece is interesting cause it feels like a very local issue being exposed to a national audience. Pittsburgh only very recently began building and installing bike lanes under the prior Mayor's administration and its been a very contentious issue.

People often joke it was all the prior mayor cared about. Its also a very car dependent town, with very minimal rail infrastructure and patches where busses are not available too, so giving up physical space and $$ resources to build bike lanes instead of improve roads or add rail has gotten some people like this dead dude all riled up over bicyclists.

I laughed my ass off when I toured Pittsburgh for grad school years ago and they had a big section on how bike-friendly the city was. No bike lanes, lots of potholes, and seemingly two hills a mile. Hats off to anyone who managed to commute by bike but it wasn't because the city was bike friendly.
