look man sometimes you just have to throw a dig at someone's murdered friends while wondering out loud if justice has been miscarried when a serial rapist gets 30 years

"Everything I can find about California law regarding rape states an 8 year maximum sentence, how did he get 15 to life" is apparently an outlandish wild question to make. How dare I question how 8 year maximum turned into 15 to life.
Asking that would have been perfectly fine if your immediate post right before it wasn't defending people who asked that he get a shorter sentence lol
I mean, nothing you've written tells me I'm wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Toxic doesn't mean criminal. It means toxic. You know, negative, jaded, peaked in highschool and shit on everything and everyone around them all the time sorta thing.
And there are ABSOLUTELY people who keep friends like that, even though all they do is drag them down to their same level. I mean, just look at what Danny Masterson did with Ashton and Mila
Vasp tryna provoke me like
Shenanigans
Danny literally did not drag them to his level, and I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for why they're asking for leniency. Notice they're not saying "dude is totally not a rapist douche don't punish him" they're saying "don't go further than you need to".
Again, while it's baffling to me that they're such advocates it tracks with everything they've stood for in the past.
I'm anti death penalty, and it doesn't make me somehow pro-murder if I wrote a letter saying "hey don't put that dude on death row". I just wouldn't say "he's a good guy and I'd trust him with my kids". Shit just doesn't make sense.
I mean me saying Danny dragged them both down with him was a joke, but you keep doing you Kurono
Wow, who would have thought "Rapists are bad, and so are the people who defend them" would have been such a divisive issue?
Y'all seem to think "leniency" means something akin to "give him community service"
The issue at hand is the issue of scale. It's an issue of how much is too much, enough/too little. It's a legitimately tough issue and people will come to near blows for suggesting someone should get a year less/more for x crime. Which is not to be dismissive. If he'd gotten 35 and someone was like "nah, 30 is the right amount," we'd still be having this discussion.
Everyone has different a limit and threshold on how on where they cut off others, and loving people makes that threshold gargantuan. It's clear they feel some way about the dude, or their cult made them so it.
the issue is they didn't argue that the punishment was excessive they argued that the convicted rapist was a pretty good dude actually so cut him some slack
Here, I'll even make it easy for you
From CNN:
“While I’m aware that the judgement has been cast as guilty on two counts of rape by force and the victims have a great desire for justice. I hope that my testament to his character is taken into consideration in sentencing,” Kutcher wrote. “I do not believe he is an ongoing harm to society.”
“I wholeheartedly vouch for Danny Masterson’s exceptional character and the tremendous positive influence he has had on me and the people around him. His dedication to leading a drug-free life and the genuine care he extends to others make him an outstanding role model and friend, Kunis wrote.
“From the very beginning, I could sense his innate goodness and genuine nature,” she added of Masterson in her letter. “His caring nature and ability to offer guidance have been instrumental in my growth both personally and professionally.”
