It's pretty much the same cycle of bullshit whenever someone famous gets marked. Fans think they're innocent and wail that if it really happened the victims should've come forward sooner. Meanwhile, said victims are afraid of retaliation from a (then) famous person or their overzealous fans, with online harassment an expected bare minimum. If the accused is anti-vaxx or some other proponent of right-wing bullshit, then it's "the matrix" trying to suppress them because of course their so-called truth isn't allowed to be heard.
