Ron Jeremy is being released to a private mental care facility because of rapidly deteriorating dementia and his court case is essentially over since he is not fit to stand trial. Because he wasn't convicted of a crime, he can't be mandated to a state facility. Ten private facilities refused to accept him as a patient before one finally accepted him. So looks like he is not long for this world.
If he was refused it means he has same pretty disturbing behaviors to boot.
If dementia can make an absolutely normal wonderful person paranoid and combative I can't imagine what it would do to an already depraved person. Dementia is terrible to witness.
It's terrible to treat.
My dad got super paranoid in the last couple months he was alive. I was really lucky that he never forgot who I was and he always trusted me and was calmed when I talked to him or visited him. But he kept telling me how the nursing staff at his care facility was out to get him and they were going to murder him and there was some government agency in on it etc. There were some pretty strong delusions about how he was in danger. Fortunately by that time he wasn't mobile enough for it to pose any sort of danger but I just felt so terrible for him that he could feel that level of fear. The nursing staff was great though and was able to work through it and the paranoia wasn't constant.
In a weird, twisted sense, I think I got off lucky and won't have to experience this. My dad died suddenly from a heart attack and was in great mental shape. My Nana though was a bit rough, her memories were all completely jumbled when she had her stroke when she was in her 90's. So parts of it, she thought I was still living with her, her telling me dinner was in the oven, then other parts she thought Astylla and I had kids and kept asking how they were doing.
I don't think I could imagine what it's like looking at a loved one and knowing they don't even know who you are any more. My only hope is compassionate euthanasia becomes acceptable, because if I ever wind up like that, I'd rather just go to sleep and pass quietly then put any friends and family through that.
Not exactly the most uplifting story of the day.

Vin Diesel Accused of Sexual Battery in Lawsuit by Former Assistant
A former assistant to actor Vin Diesel filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles today alleging that the Fast & Furious star sexually battered her while she was working for him in the fall of 2010, during the filming of Fast Five.
Diesel's attorney, Bryan Freedman, responded to Vanity Fair's request for comment with the following statement: “Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety. This is the first he has ever heard about this more than 13-year-old claim made by a purportedly 9-day employee. There is clear evidence which completely refutes these outlandish allegations.”
...
On top of sexual battery, the lawsuit claims, among other things, discrimination on the bases of sex/gender, intentional infliction of emotional distress, hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. It also accuses Diesel and his production of an attempted cover-up and states that Jonasson “has suffered and continues to suffer humiliation, emotional distress, and mental and physical pain and anguish.”
According to the lawsuit, having signed a nondisclosure agreement when she took the One Race position, Jonasson maintained her silence over the ensuing years. The suit says that she was able to file the claims thanks to the Speak Out Act, which prevents the enforcement of nondisclosure agreements in instances of sexual assault and harassment, and California’s AB2777, which temporarily waives statutes of limitations for sexual abuse allegations occurring in 2009 or later.
If true, then it is indeed Ironic that a man who's name is an anagram for I End Lives would be the instrument of his own destruction.
who in hollywood would you be most shocked to see accused at this point? vin diesel caught me off guard, diddy not at all.
if Ryan Reynalds or Hugh Jackman ever got credibly accused I would be shocked.
Tom Hanks is still my check out point. If he ever gets accused of anything, I'll just stop watching movies and TV. Denzel is close second.
im honestly shocked hugh jackman hasn't been accused by some twink yet and tom hanks is a piece of shit so i'd believe him.
Denzel is a diva and asshole on set, so I wouldn't be surprised if some vague harassment claims get thrown around.
Source: Cobb from Crimson Tide was my grade school classmate's dad and he showed up for a career day. Said Denzel was the worst actor to be around on set.
I didn't stutter. Massive difference between people being divas and you know, SA.
