Greetings BG! My name is Carver am I'm the server operator at CatsEyeXI. I first began playing FFXI as a NIN main on 'Kujata' in 2004, (which later merged into Sylph), and I've been playing on and off since then. Approximately 2 years ago a Twitch streamer re-ignited my love for the game and was coerced by a friend into rolling on an 'Era' private server. Needless to say, after experiencing the QoL improvements retail currently offers, it was extremely painful to play under the strict 'Era' conditions.
After doing some research, I decided to launch CatsEyeXI, which tries to capture that 'Era' feel but with modern day quality of life improvements. Fast forward to today and I'm blessed to have the support of some wonderful people who make up our administration and support staff to help me live out this vision.

If you've ever been interested in trying out a private server, its never been easier to do so. We developed a custom 'Launcher' you can download here that will get you in game in under 10 clicks. We've even worked with Ashenbubs to integrate his HD pack as an option to our client, and provided tasteful updates to the in-game music and more.

We also have scaled Rune Fencer and Geomancer down to Level 75 and provided them with matching artifact and relic gear!
