Picked up Yinlin, and she's a huge account DPS boost and fun. There's a double drop/Union EXP event now, and a second pair of customizable 3* gold echos in another event. Might even get to UL 40 before week end now.

So I've been rerolling all night last night and all day today trying to land an account that got either Yinlin or Jiyan with the free 30 Radiant Tides because the account I was playing on lost its first 50/50.
I got sweet fuck-all until right now (probably the 20th account), where I got Yinlin on my first 10-pull and then Jiyan on my second 10-pull, lol. Also got Calcharo from the discount banner so I can use the selector on Verina and set my focus for Jianxin. Now I'll probably burn all my astrite trying to get Jiyan's weapon so he and Calcharo can share it.
Failed the 50/50 and now have all the starters but one, and too lazy to start over. lol And why the fuck does this game still fail to launch about half the time, just hangs in the task bar until I nuke it and restart. ><
Okay, so the hardest Echo to get, by far, is a Rejuvenation Energy Recharge 3* echo. Spent two days farming every trackable elite that can drop on set and finally got two purple ones. At least I have a Crit 4* turtle, so Jianxin can be my second "healer/buffer" for my 2nd abyss team.
1 more enemy to go to fill out the database and apparently they're all extinct for the day. Guess game is telling me to call it a night. XD Still a crapload of exploration left to go.
Union rank 40 and Data Bank 20 completed. Maybe about halfway done vacuuming up the map. Time to farm.
Was finally able to get gold Energy Regen Healing set Echos. I have one of the Regen set as well, but still need a second. Definitely the rarest echos to get.
Yeah, I might have been complaining about elemental 3-stars before, but at least for those you get boxes from events, BP, etc, but right now getting energy regen on the regen set is my bane, lol
I'm having a blast with the 2.0 update. The exploration for the new area feels really good and the ability to fly Minecraft Elytra style is fun. The story and voice acting feel a lot better this time around too, though some of the accents seem all over the place. If you can get past the early 1.X jank, it's worth trying out/again.
Definitely a big upgrade over the first chunk of the 1.X story, although I was slogging through Act 4 tonight and that felt pretty slow.
I was trying to get my last Mort waveband and ended up getting Carlotta at 50ish. I was on the fence between her and getting Jinshi, but since I already got Zhezhi this week in preparation for Jinshi I'm not sure I'm going to be able to scrounge together enough to get her now haha. Gonna get Carlotta's weapon and then go from there I guess.
Finally managed to full clear the Hazard Tower for the first time just before it reset tonight. Felt good even though I killed the Inferno Rider with 1 second to spare. I was using Camellya for the middle tower though so it was a bit of a handicap.
2.0 been an amazing experience to me. Much better story, improved visual presentation and the music is just incredible. Characters are also a lot more interesting than to me than anything 1.x had.
And they flying is amazing.
I dunno if I have the bandwidth for another gacha MMO, but how does it compare to others? I've seen some gameplay.
Do you mean Open World gacha? Because it's not an MMO, the only Gacha MMO I know is Tower of Fantasy. Think of this like Genshin, but better combat and exploration. Story was its weak point in the 1.x series, it improved in 2.0, although it's still nothing peak.
2.0 Story had some really cool moments and set pieces though, and some of the side quests post-story keep that going, especially a few around the Siren area... I'd also like to say that yah, the fugging flying is amazing and its such a good addition to the world exploration, like damn I hope they retroactively apply it to the previous area.
Another QOL worth mentioning in the new area is the fact you can open your map and you can click the top left to lead you to the next item you need to 100% the map, no more pulling up a third party website to find everything in the cracks. This was great. Them also retroactively adding 100% rewards to previous zones along with the new ones for a nice big chunk of gold/resources and a few pulls was cool of them too.
Overall, I enjoyed 2.0 a hell of a lot, would recommend. And yah, its like Genshin but with lessons learned. Better combat, better traversal mechanics... arguably better gear farming systems.

Unsure if anyone is still playing, but good luck to any Zani wanters! She looks sick but she kinda need Phoebe who I really dislike the feel of so I'm gonna skip her and keep waiting for Cartethyia. I already have Jinshi anyway for Spectro coverage.
I already pulled Verina number 4 going for her... I'd like her, just because I like her design, but the fact she only operates at like 50% strength if you dont also have Phoebe+Her Unique Weapon is a turn off. Like its just so disappointing that this kit got the greenlight, but I should have seen it a mile away when they introduced all that Frazzle and elemental specific debuffs and shit. Hyper-Specific team synergies are the way of the future
Which is a damn shame because this game has been a favorite of mine but between the lackluster Anniversary Stream and Zani's hyper-relient kit, i'm starting to think they're letting the popularity go to their head and are starting to burn some good will for a quick buck, and I'm not >This< attached to the game.
I'm interested in the story so I'll keep playing. I have like 35k astrite and 50 radiant tides right now waiting for Cartethyia, but Phoebe's outro skill being specifically Frazzle damage amp made me think that she was a sign of things to come for Zani when we started getting leaks that she was also Spectro. I think we may be in a similar situation with Ciaccona because her outro skill is specifically Aero Erosion amplification and Aero res shred. I'm just hoping less of Cartethyia's damage is through Aerosion than Zani's is from Frazzle, but I'll probably pull for Ciaccona if things do end up going that way. Between what I have saved and what they're giving us this patch (and next) I'll definitely have enough for both of them.
It is disappointing for sure though. Zani's entire aesthetic is really cool and her animations are awesome. But I hate playing Phoebe and I already have Jinshi so I just can't justify pulling for her right now, especially knowing that I'm losing like 45% damage just by not having Phoebe.
It was a matter of time tbh, for a gacha game they let people run freely without very specific team builds for far too long ;p
Well, there's restrictive team building and then there's "if you don't have this one limited 5* released one patch ago, you do 50% less damage" haha. Phoebe's outro skill is extremely specific and there's no reason for Zani's liberation damage to be counted as Frazzle damage except to force her and Phoebe together as a team comp.
