$50, just a game code in a case
So $50 for a free-to-play gacha game?
Maybe fix how well it's actually optimized first.
Imagine if physical media was mandatory for patches and dlc also and you had to get a disc mailed out to you every patch or dlc for live service games. I am joking and in no way defending the curret state of things. Imagine though? lol
These gatcha physical releases are purely a collector's item for an audience that is already used to pissing money away

Out on xbox finally, transferred over what little I'd done on the phone, claimed the free Rebecca and pulled Lucy, her gun, and 1 dupe. Any tips on characters I should pull for/keep an eye out for, or other early progression tips outside of just doing tutorials and MQs and such?
Shorekeeper and Mornye are both very good generic supports to keep an eye out for. The new banner unit is also apparently quite a good generically strong DPS who doesnt need a team around her like a lot of units, but its likely they will release new units soon to buff her even further like they always do. Which kind of leads to what i learned, ever since about 2.0 (Riniscitta), units are more and more designed with teams in mind. It started with Fleurdylis/Cartethia, where they inflict Aero Erosion, and theres also another 5* unit that inflicts Aero Erosion and enhances it and etc, basically, you have a pretty decent Main DPS, then they release a Sub-DPS and Support for the Main DPS's gimmick, creating a 3 man team built around it. In this scenario, said Support is pretty much useless without the main DPS, and sub DPS can be ok, but will never perform at high quality. You kind of need all 3 pieces of the puzzle to complete it, and some of them are worthless on their own.
When I came back there was a Glacio Support banner, some Camera lady, shes entirely worthless without the Glacio DPS/Sub DPS that were already long gone. Wish I had known that before I pulled her... well now YOU do :D. The exceptions here are as I named, Shorekeeper and Mornye, which both provide very powerful generic buffs that pretty much fit on any team.
Dont really have any early progression tips. Just do Story and explore at your own pace, I'd unlock flying ASAP (which is in Riniscitta, which is like, Story Chapter 3?), because you can now Fly in the original zones too and it makes getting 100% exploration a lot easier, but you might have more fun running from place to place too, up to you.
Awesome, there's a Shorekeeper banner up and I pulled her, thanks
Ah yes, Lucilla. I was in the opposite situation as you; I pulled Hiyuki (Glacio Damage DPS) because I was like 'oh hey she's cool'. Then they were like "yeah Chisa helps her out a lot"
I did pull Lucilla. And recently got Lynae in one pull.
For Mornye, though; isn't she only a good 'generic' support at S1? Outside of that, it's tune break/strain teams, no?
Any unit can Tune Break, thats when you get the prompt to press F on an enemy if I recall(?), there are some teams who do it better and she works better with them, but any team does it enough that she still works extremely well with just about any team.
But yes, her S1 does broaden how useful she is to more teams, but even without it she's still good with many many units.
She really is the best generic support there is. Technically some support do better than her but only when you have the specific 3 man team that the support is built around... for everything else, shes just insanely good, mostly because her buffs provide Crit Rate/Damage, which works for any DPS.
You want to build her with high HP/Energy regen, and her Ultimate summons a battlefield. Her battlefield goes from I think Blue > Purple > Yellow and it triggers an upgrade when you use an Intro/Outro swap. So ideally you want to fight with her until her Outro is almost ready > Ult > Outro/Intro your Sub DPS and finish their rotation ASAP then Outro/Intro your main DPS when the battlefield is then Yellow for maximum bonuses. Ideally if you're quick enough you can then finish your DPS rotation and Swap back to Shorekeeper before her Battlefield expires and that will trigger a unique Intro from her dealing pretty good AoE damage and some heals, and you start the cycle again.
Also apparently Lynae(Currently running) is a rather good Generic Support DPS, though much better in certain teams, her bonuses can apply to just about any main dps.
Edit:
Lynae can apply the following buffs to characters on her team:
*With her Outro: 15% all-type DMG Amplification and 25% Liberation DMG Amplification to the next character via Outro (expires on swap);
*With her Ultimate: 24% party-wide all-type DMG Bonus;
*Upon casting Visual Impact: 40 points of Tune Break Boost party-wide (this boosts Tune Break-related damage);
*With her Echo set: a total of 30% ATK and 10% all-type DMG Bonus to the next character via Outro;
*With her Signature weapon: up to 24% party-wide all-type DMG Bonus.
Whoops, meant to edit that post.
