No one is ever going to be more over than Sami was in Montreal. No, not even Cody. If they weren't gonna pull the trigger there, then popularity matters for nothing. Don't be surprised when he retains at Mania '24. After all, he's gotta be champ til Summerslam '25 so he can beat Bruno's (second) reign. Or hell, maybe he'll be champ until Mania '26 so he can beat Hogan's first run. Gotta keep breaking records! They're all that matter anymore anyhow! At least he'll probably hang it up long before reaching Backlund's 2nd place (February '28) or Bruno's legendary first place run (December '29). Though honestly nothing would phase me at this point.
