Well Cole getting injured clearly required changing plans, who knows how long it was originally supposed to last.
I'm glad they still followed through on the storyline even after the injury, just giving up on it after his injury would have been way worse.

With MJF out to heal and Cole still recovering, if they didn't pull the trigger tonight it wouldn't have happened.
MJF can take a long break while Cole sends his guys to run roughshod around AEW and then make a huge return when they're both healthy.
