That last night was great... glad they didn't try to act like Hook was ready to go eye to eye with Joe. Hook has tons of potential but needs more mic work before hes a serious title contender and hes been too sheltered in his matches so far; I felt like that first chop from Joe was him welcoming him to the top circle. Hook looked like he wasn't used to being hit that hard lol

Just realized if the stars align properly the Bucs could be hosting the NFC Championship game the day after the Royal Rumble so I might have to slide to that too if the price isn’t too outrageous

The Hook/Joe main event was some great classic long-term booking. Joe looks like a monster who relentlessly beats Hook in a lopsided contest and gives him his second-ever loss (and first clean loss), Hook is tough and gutsy and manages to get at least a couple bits of believable and impressive offense against a guy who clearly outmatches him. Positions Joe as a killer and more than a transitional champion (even if he is), positions Hook as someone who's knocking on the door of the main event but will take more time to get there. Perfect place for both of them to be.

NJPW has officially announced that Okada is leaving at the end of the month. He'll still work his announced dates in February.

It's not known at current where Okada is going, there's interest from both WWE and AEW. AEW is assumed to be the favorite given that it would likely allow him to still live in Japan and obviously him being good friends with the Bucks.
