Maybe they have something planned with Seth Rollins? He’s literally the only one left on the roster that can pose a credible threat to Roman along with a story to tell.

And how is Seth going be any different when it comes to fighting Roman + Jey + Jimi + Solo + Paul when the last 6 guys couldn't get it done? Keep in mind, each of those guys literally had Roman beat before a ref bump + Bloodline interference cost them the match.

How is solo Seth going to be any different? That's the problem when you constantly have the champ winning through the use of his stablemates when all of the challengers have no fucking stable. There's barely any alliances in the WWE today. There's no APA mercs that a challenger can hire to keep the fucking ringside clear so they can focus on the 1v1. Instead, WWE keeps marching up solo guys spouting that "The last guys who tried failed, but somehow I am different!" only to run into the same brick wall that is "Roman has elite mooks and you don't.

Cody ran into that match talking like it was going to be a 1v1. He knew it wasn't going to be a 1v1. We knew it wasn't going to be a 1v1. As a result, it makes Cody look like a fucking bumblefuck brainless doofus for not preparing for the obvious. He looked like a moron; a a heroic, babyface moron, but a moron all the same. Just like Sami. Just like Kevin. Just like everyone else who walked down the ramp alone.

They've gone to the well too many times. Its dry now. The only legit challenger I can see for the belts at this point is a Gunther who allies with Shaemus and Drew in a grand alliance to smack the shit out of Roman because he's been sullying the pride of wrestling by constantly cheating through his mooks to win.

Gunther + Imperium (3 people) + Shaemus + the Brawling Brutes (3 people) + Drew are the kinds of numbers that can keep the interfering Bloodline out of the match. You technically could have had a similar effect of WWE would actually pull the fucking trigger on the Hurt Business being an actual stable and frame them as the modern day APA, being hired out by individual wrestlers as elite muscle, but WWE never wants to go there for some stupid reason. The bloodline wouldn't try shit if Bobby Lashley, Omos, Sheldon and the other guy were at ringside, one in each corner.

Nah, lets keep sending solo challengers at Roman for another year or so to repeat the same ref bump + Bloodline interference finish over and over again. That'll keep interest high!

How? How is he going to fight off Roman + Jey + Jimi + Solo + Paul? What makes him any different than the last guys? People who keep saying that Jey and Jimi will leave now: why would they? Roman keeps winning. You don't leave a toxic person if they keep collecting W's. You leave when they show weakness and the cracks become too large to ignore. That's not what happened last night.

As the Architect of the Shield, if anyone could cobble a group together just for the sake of countering the Bloodline, it'd be Seth. Could even promise title shots for allies after. It'd even give him some safety from Logan if that story line is going to continue in any capacity. By default, you could probably figure Zayn and KO would be in.

Personally, the Cody thing feels a lot like trying to force Roman on us from days of yore. Sure, he won the Rumble as #30 after coming back from injury, but what did he pragmatically do in the WWE since his initial comeback to really justify the push? Whatever he did in AEW doesn't matter to me nor to likely a good number of other viewers. I found the Stardust gimmick exponentially more amusing, but even that has probably fallen out of memory for a lot of folks. Riding the Dusty nostalgia train doesn't really work in the year 2023, either, when probably half the audience wasn't even alive when Dusty last actively wrestled. Frankly, I wouldn't have much difficulty arguing Cody ruined Sami's chance at the belt, unironically not like how they tried to foist Roman during DB's meteoric over push.

They have been. Can't remember any really big debuts or returns on the Raw after Mania for a couple years now.

Orton was seen around also but I expect there won't be many surprise debuts or returns. Feels like someone like the Creed Brothers would have answered the KO/Sami challenge instead of the Street Profits if they were going to go back to doing that. Only two that could show up at any time now would be Bron or Cameron Grimes who hasn't been used on NXT in months.

This show has been boring AF since the opener, reminds me of a year ago when Cody came back and was also the only interesting thing happening.

I think the general boom of the wrestling business these last few years has weakened the potential surprise factor of these shows. It's so much easier for wrestlers to find gainful employment these days so it lessens the possibility of surprise returns from old wrestlers, and social media makes it easier to keep track of guys coming back from injury.
