Plus the added fun of the said descendant of Luke being a drug addict and bounty hunter.
Kol Skywalker… Also Darth Krayt was a Jedi from the Clone Wars… pretty cool.

Ghost Luke calling Kol a loser drug was funny

Take my money for a Dash Rendar retcon to become Dash Skywalker.

The whole "response to Last Jedi killed the next movie" thing is idiotic considering the response to Last Jedi couldn't even kill Last Jedi. Last Jedi still made $2 billion. What Disney did in trying to appease the loudest morons complaining about Last Jedi killed ROS. Because it left us with a trilogy that had no cohesiveness whatsoever.
Adam Driver did an interview where he said the original plan for the final film was Kylo Ren being the ultimate scumbag irredeemable villain, Rey would still try to save him but ultimately be forced to kill him.

So the original final film was going to have no Emperor Palpatine at all, Kylo as the full on villain, Rey truly was a rando that was really strong in the Force, and Luke’s final lesson to Rey being that you can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved

It would have been pretty fun, but alas

Last Jedi totally set Kylo up to be irredeemable big bad and I was stoked for it. ROS ruined everything.

If we keep pushing the timeline forward then "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away" is gonna eventually become "Some time around 1920s Brooklyn" and I am 10,000% here for it
