Makar's prob getting one game to make up for the game the ref's didnt boot him for.
1 game for Makar.
Wonder if the Avs will have Nichushkin back, or what's happening there.
Apparently some shit went down at his hotel and there was alcohol involved. The team called it non-disciplinary, kinda makes me wonder if he was drinking while on pain meds or something. Or the team could just be lying.
Edit: LeBrun talks about it around the 20 minute mark here https://www.sportsnet.ca/650/halford-brough-morning/
it's all over the place from discipline from the team, to having to go back to Russia for personal reasons and/or military duty. Doesn't help that now everyone is a Twitter reporter and an insider. lol
I was just thinking that.
Time for AB to finally have provincial taxes![]()

Looks like it's the Provincial Government/Danielle Smith's UCP that's putting in the money too. Why else would she be attending? Makes sense, Provincial election is a month away and the party that's all about fiscal government spending is about to giving a few hundred million to a group of billionaires in order to try to win the votes of the voters who's health care, public services, social services, etc, etc, they've been butchering and cutting back on.
And the sad thing is, being Alberta, it's gonna work.
Good for the Flames, but lol at the city footing almost half.
Can someone better at math verify these numbers based on whats known in those tweets (and replies):
Total is 1.2 billion
The City of Calgary is covering 44% (528 million)
The Province and CSEC is covering the remaining 56% (672 million)
The Province is putting in 330 million towards infrastructure around the area.
This means CSEC is footing 342 million of the bill
So the city is footing a greater amount of the bill than the owners of the arena. This doesnt include what kind of breaks CSEC will be getting as well from the city/province.
Calgary got absolutely cucked.
These arent even finalized deals or numbers lmaooooo

Trying to use a hockey arena deal to get elected is a new level of Canadian Politics.

He could have at least guaranteed Calgary would move up 10 spots in the draft
