I'm sure he tried addressing them as a team for 3 months, when they started falling off a cliff in January. The last 8 minutes of the game when they pulled Helle, was the only major effort they had put in for 4 games. Bowness already knows it's easier to fire one coach than multiple players who never showed up, so he said what he meant. Better that than the canned tropes of "we gave 110% but at the end of the day it wasn't enough." garbage.
