1-The Kampf hit was barely after the whistle, literally less than a second.
2-You should be mad at Lafferty, Acciari, Holl (well you perpetually mad at him for simply existing), Brodie for not trying to feed Gudas a knuckle sandwich over such a vile dirty play. They barely got up in his face. Connor did 10x more to Pietrangelo for the slash on Drai (which was worse than the Gudas or Montour hit, considering the slash was not in any multiverse remotely close to a hockey play) than any of those Laffs did to Gudas combined.

And again, the Montour hit is a nothingburger, the problem was Bennett punching McCabe in the head repeatedly while he was already pinned on the ice.

Pretty sure Nurse is also subject to suspension for starting that fight in the last 5 minutes.

Edit: Also this is when the whistle blew, and it was a delayed penalty to begin with so you know the whistle is going to be blown. It's easily Charging lol.

he was already moving towards the puck and play, it was so close, also it was a shoulder hit. Idk seems like playoff hockey

The penalty was called by the trailing ref, not the ref below the goal line. When the infraction takes place, Gudas is already up at the top of the circle. The penalty took place at the start of the clip in this video. The ref below the goal line, in Gudas vision, has his arm down. How is Gudas supposed to know theres a delayed penalty pending?

Also lol @ "its easily charging". How many strides does Gudas take when Kampf takes possession of the puck?

Bruh, has the league EVER enforced that mandatory suspension for fighting in the final 5? Its never been enforced in the previous 500 times its happened, and their first enforcement will be to a black dude. Quite the optics.

I think whether or not they rescind the mandatory game will depend on what Ekblad gets. If he gets 2+ I wouldn't be surprised if Nurse has to serve the 1. I'll be pretty surprised if Ekblad gets more than a game though.

Kane already did that (without the fine) the previous game. They don't get another allotment of face cross-checks until game 6.

Hurricanes really knocked the wind out of themselves with that penalty. They were outshooting the Devils 8-1 in the second period and then got instantly scored on on the PK.
