Can't wait to find out who's backyard rink in bumblefuck Arizona the Coyotes will call home.
Don't forget Gary originally said this ASU arena rental deal would never happen without pre-approval for the Tempe arena. Good times.
I guess this changes Austin Matthews UFA situation....
Can only lol at the Arizona saga and how it continues to desperately drag on.
A little late but:
Dallas in 6
Florida in 6
Without being an Arizonan, a key factor has to be taxpayer funding for privately owned sports teams. Its always been an issue, but with the sentiment in western societies over rich paying or not paying their fair share, and the cost of everything right now, taxpayers had to have viewed that as a bitter pill to swallow. Steelers / Pirates stadiums are nearing 30 years in age in Pittsburgh and I don't think even the beloved Steelers and the Rooney family could get $500m from taxpayers right now for a new one.
Lmao
That's basically a vote to tell a team to gtfo right? Lmaooo

I saw that when it made my reddit front page. That was hilarious.

technically its not true though, but for any player making over 2 mil, its likely pennies compared to their salary pay. The league pays based on team results. 250k for losing in the first round, split among the team, and possibly a cut to the staff...its nothing.
Sounds like the Coyotes are eyeing Salt Lake City now.
Just a reminder that Bettman will put a team in Mexico, he will try Atlanta for the fourth time (not a typo, think about it), he will try some bumfuck redneck city that doesnt even know what hockey is, he will even put a team in Alaska before Quebec City gets another NHL team.
I look forward to seeing the Hawaii Cocomelons steal the Nordiques' colors in 2037.
Canes in 7
Dallas in 7.
