Besides the Bruins and the Hurricanes, every other home team has lost.
As embarrassing as that first Leafs game was, if they get their act together, they can still win this.

Yeah was just going to say, every road team in the west won game 1

Update on my bracket after one game:
I'm 1-3 on teams out west (including one failed sweep call)
But I'm 4-0 in the east
Shows how much I pay attention to the western conference.

On god Maurice better make some fucking changes tonight if he's gonna be gifted an opponent taking it easy on them.

Pavelski in the concussion protocol and out for game 2.
If Toronto chokes that, its not because of “the refs” no matter how much your people cry about Wes.
Its like only scoring one goal against Boston when theyre missing one of the best two-way Cs to ever play the game.
Well they managed to blow it against a Point-less Lightning last year so nothing's out of the realm of possibility for this team.
I still don't even know what happened to Hedman though. He must've just been hit by a shot or something.
With all respect to Brayden Point, Victor Hedman is one of the most dominant players in the game. If I'm making a team from any current players, I'm taking Hedman over anyone else on the Lightning, anyone else on Toronto, as well as over Malkin/Letang on the Penguins. The 5 on 5 play with vs without Hedman yesterday was night and day.
But his kid is 6 months old and isnt on skates yet.
The Leafs should be able to beat the Lightning with or without Hedman and Cernak. The game yesterday was pathetic, and if those two end up not playing the Leafs better win every single game the Lightning don't have them in the line-up (or hammering them if they do play).
It's a 7 game series for a reason and I still think the Leafs can do it, but holy fuck was that embarrassing to watch last night. I just cannot fathom how they came out like that, after an entire season where the narrative from game 1 to game 82 was nonstop "nothing matters if you don't win in the playoffs." I think Keefe is a great coach, but what the fuck was that starting line-up. You grind out home-ice advantage and the first shift of the series goes to the fucking third line?
Jon Cooper confirms Cernak is definitely out for game 2; Hedman to be a game time decision

3 games for Bunting
so thats a 6 game regular season suspension lol
3 playoff games seems right considering how many bad elements were in that hit (and he was a couple inches short of elbowing being added to the list too)
