    This seems like it would be a good opportunity for a counter suit as well to hopefully not have to outlay a ton of cash on the lawyer and make the homeowners insurance co pay for the lawyer. I am not sure how that would work but lawyers are so expensive I would certainly try that if the lawyer said it was a good idea. Sorry you are going through this. Whole thing seems like a bunch of bullshit.

    Won't update this with too much info now because I've retained a lawyer. My point about the "3 of us need to be served or it goes away" was false, i'm still on the hook even if they can't find the other two lol which is just insane.

    He did saw the suit is vague and lists "The tenant who smoked" but doesn't use a name, so it's left vague in order to just rope all 3 of us in for "more cash in the pool" which is shady as fuck. He apparently talked to them about the extension and they immediately jumped into wanting to talk about what % of the total pool I could possibly pay lol
