To be fair, gotta also give credit to the coaching and front office for the niners that this isn’t really that big of a deal. They recognized dude wasn’t it and moved on accordingly.

I dunno about this, but to go along with all of the things I already listed, Lance had the following:

S tier offensive head coach/play-caller
S tier offensive line
S tier TE/WR weapons

Still turned out to be the worst draft decision in the modern NFL era.

That’s my point. How many teams can blow a king’s ransom to draft a bust at QB yet still be SB favorites? Yeah it was a horrific draft decision but in the grand scheme it isn’t that big of a deal for them.

cardinals problem was they kept trying to use him as a true linebacker when that wasn't what he did in college

he should be in a position like jayron kearse is in our system. it's this weird safety/linebacker/nickle hybrid role that all the teams are using now

The Lynch/Shanahan duo has blown a lot of their high draft picks, but they've been consistently finding gold like George Kittle and Talanoa Hufanga in the later rounds.
