There was an incredible amount of chapters/sub plots before the final confrontation spanning multiple characters. Would S3 even cover half of that assuming 1 cour?

I need to look up how many chapters S2 covered.

If we cover all the way to the finale of the Garou arc I'll be surprised, unless its a long season or they just speed-run it.

I think its POSSIBLE we close out the garou arc, hell I hope we close the Garou arc, I don't want a second Garou cliffhanger season ending and another multi-year wait.

I was bored and reviewed the chapters!

Chapter 84 is where the anime ends. This gives us a nice number work with that we know 24 episodes can cover 84 chapters
If S3 is to be 2cour, in theory this will actually close out the garou saga as it ends on Chapter 169

The best approach I can think of is if they do decide to do that, is to do what other anime do, split it between part 1 and part 2. I'm not sure if money was tight during the S2 era, but a lot of anime around S2 are also just 1 cour.
Come 2022/2023 they took on a few 2 cours. But this is baseless speculation ultimately on my part but just something I'm chewing on.
