Tua in 2021 wasn't bad. Tua in 2021 had a coach that hated him, gave him mental health problems, offered no support on the field, and did nothing for his development. Every QB was going to suffer under that. It wasn't that he was chucking it after 1 read, it's that he only had time for 1 read because Flores can't scheme a high school offense and cycled through 4 or 5 OCs in his tenure. Flores didn't get fired because he couldn't win. He did that. He was fired because he was an awful fucking person who mistreated everyone. Even then, Tua still had his highest completion percentage that year. He was less trash than his situation. There'S a reason people talk about the team that drafts you as a QB is more important than where you are drafted. And probably the reason Caleb Williams talked about possibly returning to school depending on who was picking #1.

I don't listen to WFAN often but over the summer I drove my wife's car and didn't feel like syncing my phone, so I tuned in because it's the only radio station I actually know off the dome. The monologue that moment was from this guy. He said Daniel Jones was the best #8 in NY Sports (Rodgers is 8) and that it was a fair conversation to debate who you'd rather have in 2023.
