Welcome to the 2023 MLB Playoffs where the three highest spending teams all failed to make it. And for the first time in god knows when, a combination of the Yankee's/Red Sox/Cardinals all failed to be playing baseball in October.
In the AL West, you had the Astro's begrudgingly take the crown, while the Rangers back in as WC5, and despite having a chance at the division with 2 games to go, Seattle dick punches it's fans again and misses out.
In the AL Central, you have the Twins the best of the worst, and come in on an 0-18 streak of playoff games. They can breathe easy though as their daddy, the Yankee's are not around.
AL East has the surprising upstarts of the Orioles taking the crown, and the Rays right on their heels.
NL West has Fuck the Dodgers winning the crown, though 3/5 of their starting rotation is completely dead, and 1/2 of their remaining rotation is Playoff Kershaw. Stay tuned to see how Dave Roberts fucks this up.
Behind them is the Diamondbacks, who like the Marlins, are just happy to be here.
Brewers win a god awful NL Central, but have probably the healthiest starting rotation in the NL. If only their hitting was half as good as their pitching.
NL East has the Braves taking the crown, winning 100+ yet again, with probably the most dangerous offense in these playoffs, followed by a Phillies team lead by a gimped Harper and Schwarber Bombs.
Jinxing it now. Braves will take the NL, and Orioles win the AL Crown.
World Series will be Braves in 6.
