Won't know til we get to the game Monday.
NHL Network talking about the Perds earlier. Host asks to Boudreau & Co.: "Is Nashville a playoff team?" Every reaction was some version of this haha:
Do not disagree. Odd team running on Trotz/Brunner grit and some periodic moments of brilliance from Forsberg/O'Reilly/Josi/Saros.
It's in Toronto and they didn't tease a single Leaf, lol
Yeah I'm not worried about it, just thought it was funny.
I hope Morgan manages to sneak in there, he's been so good for so long. Just a victim of having three ridiculous forwards on the team that always get the noms. He still hasn't even taken a penalty yet this season.
All-Stars will have officer protection while on ice. Crazy what a world we live in

Man, sharks completely blew their comeback giving up the winning goal with five seconds left in regulation lol.

I've never seen a more blatant attempt to force the outcome of a game than the referring tonight. Holy fuck this is horrendous.
Road game losing streak continues.
10 in a row!
Over the last 8 games, both the Oilers and Kraken have gained 12 points on the Kings.
Yeah, it's crazy how it's gone cuz LA has lost 8 in a row. Kraken 9W and Oilers 10W
After the Sens beat the Sharks the other night, the Kings are now the only team without a point in 2024.
Since their win against the Flyers on December 31st, the Flames have traveled nearly 10,000km between road and home games, and earned a possible 12 out of 16 points in those 8 games.
But then they lost to a Chicago team that was over 50% an AHL roster.
But then they beat Vegas tonight.
And now they have a 6 game homestand before the allstar break, with games against Toronto and Edmonton. But also games against Columbus and Chicago again.
I genuinely have no idea anymore. Team is actually playing pretty good. But signing all the UFA's to extensions is 100% a mistake. But if this next homestand goes well, I can see them leaning more towards going for it, and again, I think that's a mistake. But if they keep winning, well, they keep winning. But how much of it is the team playing well (They have been scoring a shit ton), and how much of it is Markstrom playing so absolutely lights out (he's been stupid good).
It's a crapshoot. And I have absolutely zero control over any of it. So I'm adopting a "well, whatever happens, happens, so fuck it" mentality to protect myself +_+
Ultimately, regardless of how well they do in the regular season, I think it's adamantly clear they're not built or talented enough to go deep in the playoffs. And regular season success means absolutely fucking nothing
