There's still probably a case to be made for Arvydas Sabonis, though obviously that's more looking at his international career and not the broken down 30 year old by the time he finally went to the NBA

Jokic is insanely talented and you can plop him onto any team and he makes the offense run, hard stop. His game will probably also age better and it doesn't appear that you can really gameplan to stop him whatsoever.

What he does is simply more important than Giannis's insane size/athleticism combo, even though Giannis is a better defender. A couple years ago I thought Giannis might keep getting better - more reliable midrange, competent from 3, better free throw shooting, stuff like that, but it hasn't materialized. He is what he is. Jokic is better.

he's an all-time potential guy but don't think there's any argument for him anymore. Giannis and Jokic rebroke the Euro curse as the best player on the best team in the best league, and as much as i love Dirk don't think there's a great argument beyond longevity as both Giannis and Jokic's runs clear. Sabonis has the Olympic win against our amateurs but eh, biggest stage or bust dog.
