I'm surprised no one's said a word about this. It's looking really good and I've been making puppy dog eyes at 'Neko to go take me to see it in the theater.First time in a while I've wanted to see a Disney movie before it came out on Disney Plus or on blue ray/DVD. (And yes, me and Neko usually see movies together.)
So what do people think?

Saw the preview for this in theatre a while back and it looked good. I'll likely see it in theatre since I have Movie Pass.

This looks amazing, not only musical but because Disney is finally blending 3D animation with cel shading and hand-drawn coloring.

My friend predicted this would be "Disney Movie: The Movie" and that about sums it up.
I had issues with the muted color saturation and cool temperature. We all had issues with all the shoehorned Disney nods as if there were check boxes Jennifer Lee had to check off and unsteady pacing.

This thing has bombed. It only earned 19M it's opening weekend and has only gotten 36M so far.
The Marvels has earned more.

Wasn't well advertised and not a lot of people want to go to theaters these days.

Well, not ashamed to say I actualy enjoyed it but yeah..They need to step up marketing. They mostly viral marketed this thing and you'd only know if you kept a eagle eye on Youtube; they released ALL the songs early. That, and the fact this was a return to tradition is what attracted me.
Just if you go see it, I'd say tell yourself "This is basically a fun kids's movie" and keep your expectations right there. A "The Little Mermaid" or something like that, it is not. Cute and fun, but that's about it; it ain't a classic.
