if you don’t get it you can still go for 2 later. haven’t seen the math recently but it’s something just over 40% so not terrible odds if you’re going to do it twice

if you get it a td and extra point wins the game instead of tying it

if you get it you can also kick two fgs instead of needing a td (doesn’t apply here)

it’s mostly scenario 2 where you’re possibly trying to steal the win
