Man is there really no endgame? They pulled this shit with Rise and said it was the Pandemics fault the fuck Capcom.

Max quest rank is only Tempered Arkveld investigations, there's nothing else right now
They absolutely threw this out before the end of the financial quarter. It kinda makes sense in the context of the games story, but no gathering hub definitely makes the game feel incomplete
I only want it for SnS.
Even using Razor Sharp it's the only weapon where I'm at risk of dropping all the way down to green before a monster changes zones.
Mercifully pizza cutter is substantially more gentle on sharpness than it was in previous games.
Protective Polish can work in a pinch if you don't mind sharpening every so often to keep it up.
Protective Polish gems are ass in terms of value, especially since you have such limited space overall for weapon gem slots.
For SnS right now I use Offensive Guard 3/Handicraft 1, Crit Boost 3, and Razor Sharp 3/Ironwall 1.
Lance charge seems like it had the sharpness loss toned down as well. The MV seems decent too, it's actually worth using now sometimes.
apparently patch notes for 1.0.5 imply the nightbloom pollen farm for deco's/relics/hard armor spheres is getting nerfed in 2 days, so if you haven't been taking advantage to build up a stockpile I suggest doing it cause we don't know when a Deco event quest will be coming out.
Guide below for people who don't know what I'm talking about

There's a lot of weird bugs they need to fix.
Corrupted Mantle doing double hits on Triangle/Y attacks, Arkveld taking double piercing damage on its chains, Crit Element just being kinda useless, Flayer 3/5 etc etc
So what is the point of GS? Was rocking SnS/LS and sometimes DB and it seems like you can move faster and do way more damage with all 3 of those compared to GS. Sure GS hits hard when it connects on the 3rd charge up hit....but landing that takes so much effort whereas DB/SnS is just whittling a monster down like crazy and doing that single GS hit worth of damage in the span of less time and more safety.
Short version, you're playing it wrong. GS is always about doing ridiculous amounts of burst damage and otherwise generally not even having your weapon drawn while you're waiting for an opening
You have to know a monster's animations to play it properly to know you can get your hits in, you can't just constantly swing away like with the other weapons you mentioned.
Also since world it has the tackle mechanic that lets you tank hits and also skip steps in the combo so you can get to TCS faster and unleash the pain.
the new GS Meta is counter play since blocking in this game is so incredibly broken, you can block and counterattack then animation cancel directly back into a block, it's crazy good.
Well, the first one is absolutely wrong. Corrupted Mantle has specific entries for what attacks activate the bonus damage in the motion values for weapons. Only certain attacks proc it. Its not unique to triangle inputs and 100% intended behind the "improves performance" verbage on the item.
I think Flayer is an actual bug at 3+ but most of the time these things are just people making assumptions. "Demondrug is bugged it persists after you faint"! No dingus it just lasts 30 minutes in this game regardless.
Yeah I just saw the thing about corrupted mantle actually not being bugged, that's just very weird design
The end game atm is pretty much just farming your decos and maybe making an artisan weapon so you can use 3x3 point decos, though their raw power is lower than normal monster crafts, so they may just be more useful later on. I'd have preferred to have elders in at the start, like world, but it is what it is.
Getting solid upgrades on an artian is going to be the best in class for most weapons, but for a couple they're just straight ass.
HH has bad song choices, LBG can't do rapid fire pierce, and any gunlance you could make is just flat out worse than the G Arkveld one (which completely outclasses every possible other gunlance)
Artian Bow only has Close-Range coating as well, good thing dragon piercer is so good so making it a pure DPS bow is still fine.
Ice Element Bow gets pierce coating
does it? I didn’t make an elemental Artian bow since it didn’t match what I was gearing for.
