Hopefully they learned lessons from the performance shit show that was Dragon's Dogma 2 and applied those to this game.
But a 4060 apparently needing frame gen to hit 60 fps at 1080p is not a good sign.
With how the recommend specs look for PC for "frame gen" 60 (aka 40 fps target), for medium at 1080p non-upscaled (but likely still using TAA which processes sub-native), I'm expecting a blurfest on base PS5.
At one point I thought I might be done with Monster Hunter. Nope. Nope nope nope.
Transformers collab: Rathalos Prime
I can't xD
Noice
also of note: Full character creator will be available and your design can carry over to release.
PS5 PS+ Pre-Load for OBT is up.
16.6 GB
Go to game, go to "..." next to wishlist, it's the 2nd option
Pre-load is up for everything else.
Idk if it's just me but PC version is very glitchy. Shadows rendering at absurdly low resolution, very blatant pop-in/LOD issues and just seems in general like it's not loading shaders or textures properly.
I was seeing those on the PS5 footage already. The demo is basically unplayable on my below-min. spec 1060gtx at any rate. Lowest of the low settings, far uglier than MHW, and I can barely muster 15fps, while it's taking near 6gb of vram despite looking like soup. Makes me wonder if it's using mesh shaders, since even 1080TI users aren't having a good time with the demo.
All the weird glitches I saw was actually something I've also seen in Street Fighter VI (another RE Engine game).
Both games get really mad if you play at a different aspect ratio from the one you initially compiled shaders on. In this case I compiled the shaders while plugged into my monitor at home that's 2560x1440, but the display on my laptop is 2560x1600. Even if the game is still rendering at the original aspect ratio it just completely fucks up all the shaders.
My night thus far has been nothing but character creation. This is tits
I'm on a new pc with a gtx 4070 ti super and have had very minimal graphic issues. I usually only notice it going into character edit on the initial render before it fixes itself. My son's on my older laptop with a 3070ti and while his fps are around mid 30s he doesn't seem to give a fuck as killing giant beasts with a long sword is his new goal in life.
