Maybe this complete outage will drive people to speculate that perhaps agglomerating all of their news, ads, social interactions, and memories into the same digital space, which they do not own or control, is not optimal.

Well I can see what Meta did during their downtime. It’s now literally 5 ads or suggested posts per 1 post from friends or pages I follow. Garbage.

The suggested stuff/ads are why I use Social Fixer..it collapses them so I don't have to read'em
.
Might be something to look into if that really annoys you.
