Feels like this is down to the difference in relationships with Israel. Bibi knew Biden had to have his back come hell or high water, so he could do whatever the fuck he wanted. Bibi also knows that Trump doesn't like him much because he congratulated Biden, is willing to torch him publicly with basically no political consequences, and that he will be prez for 4 years. Big difference in leverage, which more or less comes down to Trump having turned his base into a cult of personality that doesn't give a fuck about policies (or hates Jews).

Democrats have a fractious coalition that cares about policies. Kamala allegedly lost both Muslims for not speaking forcefully enough against Israel and Jews for committing to it insufficiently. Biden being a Zionist is maybe some kind of religious belief but more likely is the product of decades of political polling showing that he needs a strong Jewish vote to win. Maybe those decades aren't recent ones, but Kamala didn't break strongly with him so maybe they are.
