Not surprised about the first, I expect he sells auto telemetry to all the insurance companies too.

o start with, Teslas, like over 99 percent of new vehicles, have event data recorders (EDRs). These “black box” recorders are triggered by a crash and collect a scant 5 seconds of information, including speed, acceleration, brake use, steering input, and automatic brake and stability controls, to assist in crash investigations.
But Tesla also makes a permanent record of these data—and many more—on a 4-gigabyte SD or 8-GB microSD card located in the car’s Media Control Unit (MCU) Linux infotainment computer. These time-stamped “gateway log” files also include seatbelt, Autopilot, and cruise-control settings, and whether drivers had their hands on the steering wheel. They are normally recorded at a relatively low resolution, such as 5 hertz, allowing the cards to store months’ or years’ worth of data, even up to the lifetime of the vehicleTesla also offers car insurance which is priced using a safe-driving discount model apparently, or did at time of this article. When an owner connects a Tesla to a Wi-Fi network—for instance, to download an over-the-air update that adds new features or fixes bugs—the gateway log data is periodically uploaded to Tesla. Judging by Tesla’s use of gateway log data in the Florida lawsuit, Tesla appears to link that data to its originating vehicle and store it permanently. (Tesla did not respond to requests for clarification on this and other issues).

You're free to like all the porn you want without people knowing you did. And I guess bigoted shit too.
Now no one will be able to know that A-a-ron dun messed up.
Long as you don't RT anything stupid.
Hiding likes was (still is at present when I looked) a paid feature. Guess they want the engagements on people's mains instead of their alts for the algo to possibly make them more money somehow, assuming they never backtrack on this and those become public again, for people to use as an attack vector against others they dislike/want to shitfling against during an argument.
I mainly just miss when the site timeline would stay in a chronological state, and didn't put in posts from people that I'm not following or weren't RT'd from people I'm following. I've done a decent job at keeping my feed free of political bs at the least; it's mostly just a glorified art gallery of people I follow on my end.
