i understand the move looks panicky but the eagles defense has been trash all year on the back end. everyone that watches football knows it, every stat and advanced metric points to it. you can’t explain away washington hanging 30+ each time we played them on “division games r tuff” when their offense has been literal trash the rest of the year. the eagles are still a super bowl contender because they have one of the best offenses in the league but it’s pretty clear they can’t rely on the offense to score 30+ every week and hope for the best

Desai was on the "next hot head coach" list for awhile. I'm pretty sure he interviewed for some jobs. I don't recall if Miami interviewed him, but it was definitely talked about. I had forgotten he was the Eagles DC.

As I said, Dolphins talked about interviewing him for HC. This was when he was coming out of Seattle a couple seasons ago.
