This is what having a Netflix special about your failed career will do to you
saints performing cap shenanigans, the offseason is officially upon us

I saw that they will have to make like 14 restructures that will leave them ~45 mil OVER the 2025 cap lmfao.
That was to allow them to get out from Carr after 2024. Restructuring him REALLY fucks them going forward past 2024.
Yes, there was a fantastic breakdown by someone there recently. His objective was to allow them to get out from Carr after 2024 though, so not restructuring him at all.
This throws a major wrench in all of that lmao. Never has a team needed a 3rd round rookie QB more to save their ass and made such a poor decision (bringing in Carr). They should have just committed to being trash for a couple seasons and this would have been solved. I guess the GM figured that would basically mean firing himself, so here we are.
Really hope this Fields to Steelers rumblings isn't all smoke.
steelers never move on from anybody ever. they're super loyal to all their draft picks
And why the fuck would you want Fields? I'd rather have the corpse of Wilson.
Was hearing a podcast with some dude arguing the Giants should go after Fields and it made me want to curb stomp a puppy.
people think fields is good because running qbs are a cheat code in fantasy, and somehow fantasy points and actual good qb play are the same thing
salary cap up 30m

The saints never ending refusal to just suck for a year or two and instead continually kick the can down the road is honestly impressive.
They should have gone all in on the tank when Brees left but just kept plodding on
i appreciate the stubbornness. i'd probably do the same shit. keep kicking the can down the line for the next gm for when i get fired, which for most gms is every 5-6 years
Yeah but Loomis has been their GM for 2 decades now
You all laughed! Now watch as the likes of Dak get paid $60m AAV.
