It's more like parasite eve fanfic to be honest. They could have honestly just renamed the character and it'd be a completely different genre and universe, and it's quite puzzling why they even tied it, loosely, to the original series. Honestly, I never finished it but half way through I was like "how is this even parasite eve other than using the main character and her abilities as justification for why this girl has superpowers"

Afaik it's still kind of buggy in emulation, but I haven't tried for a few years. Random crashes and a few assorted cutscenes that require you to reconfigure the emulator to get past before switching back to previous settings

It’s been awhile, but I remember Lost Odyssey starting out strong and then halfway through it just becomes another generic RPG with the immortality aspect of the story becoming an afterthought.

The short story dreams though were incredible
